I'll bring the burgers if you bring the buns!!!! ;)
(reply to THWIP)
ok, sounds reasonable, thanks.
So do you think they just throttle the production lines according to projected quarterly demand?...
pity party for Sony, ready?... 1,2,3, AWWWWWWW!
I'm not hatin' by any means, but do these numbers seem a bit off....? So it took 11 months to ship 6 million. They predict shipping 4 million more in 2 months (nov/dec). And then it'll take 6 months to ship another 4 million consoles... I know the holiday season sells alot of hardware but these numbers seem kinda wonky. Sure, Gears is teh sh1t, but even more great titles are lined up for first quarter next year... I'd think the shipping numbers wouldn't be so drastically less than holiday...
...good one. Looks like I got my daily laugh.
... so where's the nozzle for the O2 tank? You could suffocate in that thing! Wonder how hot/humid it gets in there. Hope you don't have stank-breath either.
...it lets you stream internet radio to it. I loved doing this on my pocket PC. But for that price I'd sooner buy another ipaq...
Not sure on this, but is the 360 hdd still "required" for content dloads?... I saw a post somewhere that now (post-dashboard upgrade) you can select where you want to save to... so if you're networked you shouldn't even need the hdd on the 360 at all.... technically.
Same question for game saves
Can anyone confirm this?...
Just pick up an executer360 and any size SATA hdd you like.
... secretly playing Gears! :)
I agree about bandwidth, but I can't locally rent HD content yet (and I probably won't be buying the HD-DVD add-on) so...
Just wondering how long it'll take to DL a typical 2-2.5hr movie in 720p on DSL..... I hope they include a feature that'll let you cue up a bunch of movies to download then turn off the console when finished... kinda like they do with LIVE demos now.
It would be even better if they could stream it to the hdd and let you start viewing after the buffer is full (with absolutely no chug). So you don't need to wait for the whole thing to finish dloading.
I disagree with former questionmark... The 360 CAN be loud, but overall it's not quite as loud as you claim...... (at least mine isn't). I find the fan from my projector to be MUCH louder than the console. But that get's "tuned out" as soon as I get into a game. I'd probably notice it alot more if I watched movies.
(the tv muted and everything off)... that's a good-one ;)
REVOLUTIONARY!!! This is bound to turn the gaming industry on its ear!!!
Now how about some official specs?...
The 360 and PS3 will MOSTLY have identical software (ports, ports, ports) save the few exclusives that utilize each platforms hardware to their full potential. The Wii is meanwhile doing its own thing, which is fine by me.
wtf are you talking about?... what do you mean by fragile?... and what degraded audio? Please help me understand your comments.
"microsofts three chip set won't be doing any of this stuff"
No duh, Seeing as it was developed as a platfrom specific processor. Not as a Jack of all trades but master of none.
btw Apple doesn't make their own chips dumbass.
... pardon my ignorance, but what is a "touch sensitive" power button?... Aren't all power buttons "touch sensitive"...
Considering I bought my 360 for GAMES I really don't consider this a problem.... I won't be buying one.
... would make a kick-ass micro-ATX box!
would be a b!tch to install though, probably need a slide-out tray.
